And finally, a review

Saw tour groups stopping and talking about it across the street but no info was offered to the actual guests of the hotel, which I thought was odd! Guest services is great and so helpful. Every member of the staff was wonderful. Our room was comfortable and quiet, even though our windows faced Broughton Street.

I've stayed here several times and it's always pleasant and clean. The breakfast is always phenomenal and no other hotel compares. The Marshall House in Savannah is known for its gorgeous architecture, stunning wrought iron, romantic atmosphere and elegant rooms that overlook popular Broughton Street. But there’s way more to The Marshall House than its beauty! Check out these fun facts that make The Marshall House a sought-after destination for history lovers.

These rooms are located along the inside corridor of The Marshall House with convenient elevator access. This round, the course conditions were excellent and we had a great day. The course is part of a multi-course complex in The Landings. The development has over 4000 homes so there are plenty of golfers out and about. This hotel was highly rated for its very comfy beds. It's a lovely hotel and the service was great. If you booked through us and want to leave a review, please sign in first.

Breakfast was delicious and the location was close to everything. Use the Next and Previous buttons to navigate. Our Accessible King Rooms closely resemble our Classic King guest rooms, but with accessible bathroom features and details.

The hotel was beautiful and very clean. The nightly wine and cheese hours with entertainment were terrific. We liked the fact that there was always complimentary cold bottles of water and a coffee and tea station in the lobby. Built in 1851, this charming 68-room property housed Union soldiers during the Civil War -- and some guests say their spirits still walk the hallways. However, this upper-middle-range property has some of the drawbacks common to old buildings, such as noise issues, small rooms and bathrooms, and few amenities.

Everything was spotless and in great repair. The location is perfect for exploring the historical district. Loved the location, the friendliness of the staff, the comfort of the parlour area and the wine and nibbles reception with entertainment. The waiter serving at this was so nice and welcoming, a credit to the hotel, he was a gentleman. Bedroom was so comfy and immaculately clean. Fun, quirky, and a little bit different, the guest rooms at The Marshall House have a unique style that you just won't find in a new hotel.

City Market is a more diverse and casual version of Riverfront, with lots of live music and vendors selling locally made wares. Afternoon wine and entertainment nice touch. The conditions, like all the courses are excellent and they do a very good job with all the various golf and country club amenities.

There’s a small museum inside the hotel. We're staying at the Marshall house right now. Specially, Dona and our new favorite Cary this will be the second time I booked From ... The Historic District is bordered by the Savannah River and Forsyth Park, and includes the Riverfront and City Market areas. Riverfront is a (somewhat) recently revitalized area, with restaurants, galleries, shops, and bars.

Wonderful location, easy walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants. Nice little room, wonderful staff, excellent breakfast. Nice happy hour with wine and cheese along with a harpist. Did not use valet parking....public parking garage 1/2 block away.

The Marshall House’s original owner was a prominent Savannah woman. Mary M. Marshall opened the original Marshall House in 1851, and she was known as an incredibly successful businesswoman in Savannah’s elite financial and social circles. Today, there’s an 1830s portrait of Mary in the reception area welcoming guests to her hotel. On the hotel's third floor, you'll find a collection of historic artifacts from the original Marshall House.

It's old and charming and that's really all I need. The rooms are great, clean and homey. It's got a good location near all ... Location is fantastic, which is the only reason I would recommend this hotel. The guest rooms are extremely small for 2 people to not be on top of eachother and in each other’s way.

Amazing hotel, excellent location in Savannah. This place was walking distance to almost every place we wanted to go, including the riverwalk and many ... Staff assisted with printing out boarding pass. This aging gem was opened in 1851 by enterprising innkeeper Mary Marshall, making it the city’s oldest hotel. In the Civil War it served as a hospital, while Joel Chandler Harris, author of the famous “Uncle Remus” stories (of Br’er Rabbit and company), lived here in the late 1860s. If you can afford it, the Broughton Balcony Rooms are the best in the hotel and a real treat, opening out onto the spacious, wrought-iron veranda. Surrounded by restaurants and shopping, short walk to City Market and Riverwalk. I like the idea of staying in a historical bldg, and I would’ve loved to hear the history of it.

Guest can expect their hotel to be one of the stops on some of the ghost tours that travel around Savannah's multiple ghostly stops. If you're looking for a hotel that is haunted, without the extremely haunted feel and look, this is the place. One could easily book this hotel without their family members realizing it's haunted.

We liked the spacious one bedroom suite with view to an internal court where breakfast was served. Classical ambience with luxury details. Historic hotel with good and comfortble reception. Bottles of water, coffee and tea were complimentary, as well as a drink every evening. Central location and historical significance. Loved the wine and cheese evenings with quiz or live music.

The Marshall House is the oldest operating hotel in Savannah and has an authentic atmosphere that's not to be missed. Built in 1851, the hotel was occupied by Union troops led by General Sherman at the end of the Civil War, and was a hospital during two Yellow Fever epidemics. Savannah's charming Historic District is filled with numerous parks and well-kept, architecturally-stunning historic buildings. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Couples particularly like the location — they rated it 9.7 for a two-person trip.

Disney Magic Dining: Restaurants & Food on Cruise Critic

Dinner at Enchanted Garden is three courses, with appetizers like lobster ravioli or a curried carrot and apple soup. The sea bass on the entree menu is a favorite of mine and is always cooked to perfection. Polish off the meal with a piece of chocolate torte or a banana sundae.

Disney Cruise Palo

On the Fantasy the snacks are found from 10.45 until midnight in La Piazza. You can order specialty smoothies here for an additional charge. However, dining at Remy is an experience which you really should indulge in at least once in a lifetime.

For Questions or Booking Inquiries, Contact The Vacationeer

When you book through The Vacationeer, you get a generous Disney onboard credit. This bonus gives you up to $1000 of free spending money on your cruise, just for booking with a premier Disney travel agency like The Vacationeer. As a top-ranked Diamond-Level Earmarked Disney Vacation Planner Agency, they provide tailored advice and booking assistance for a smooth Disney Cruise experience. They can answer your questions about Specialty Dining, help with dining reservations, and update you about the latest Disney Cruise Line itineraries.

Your Dining Team on Disney Cruise Line

It is one of the most popular (although Tiana’s Place and Rapunzel’s Royal Table are now pretty close in the popularity stakes). For example, all the Animator’s Palate menus are the same whichever ship that you dine on. Royal Court, Royal Palace, and Triton’s also have the same menu. This is the only restaurant that is available on all of the Disney ships. They will put tables together so that you can be seated together.

We Ate EVERYTHING on Disney’s Newest Cruise Ship — The Disney Wish

The prix-fixe menu at Remy is $135, and there's also an a la carte menu. The Champagne brunch at Enchante is a prix-fixe meal paired with a glass of Champagne, while Just Desserts is a five-course dessert menu served with some of the best coffee on the ship. Breakfast here is fairly basic but more relaxing than hitting the buffet line.

Rotational Dining

Petites Assiettes de Remy is available for a charge of $50 per person and this includes the wine pairing. Your Brunch experience then continues when you will be taken into the Remy restaurant with a group of your fellow diners. There can’t be many restaurants named after a rat, but Disney always does things slightly differently. One of the most popular Palo desserts is the melting chocolate cake.

Local food vendors at various ports of call might serve up dishes like jerk chicken in Jamaica, roti in Barbados, or conch fritters in the Bahamas. If your itinerary includes a stop in Mexico, take advantage of the chance to savor authentic tacos or enchiladas. Whether you’re savoring your meal with your toes in the sand or enjoying a fruity drink at the adults-only Serenity Bay, Castaway Cay offers a delicious taste of the tropics. Every meal becomes a highlight of the day, bringing the excitement of a new setting combined with the comfort of familiar faces in our serving team. For my wife and I, the variety offered by Rotational Dining transforms each meal into its own unique adventure. Keep in mind, though, that gratuities are not included in the cost of a Disney cruise, and this applies to both the included and extra-cost meals.

The Petites Assiettes de Remy is hosted by the Executive Chef and the Sommelier of Remy. It is only available on the first day of your Disney cruise sailing and is held in the early evening. Many people, including me, prefer Palo Brunch over Palo dinner.

With every Disney rotational dining restaurant, the servers have a different costume. The Royal Palace is one of the rotational dining restaurants on the Disney Dream. In addition to the standard menus in each Disney cruise restaurant, they have some special menus which are served on certain itineraries. There will be members of the Kids Club team waiting in the restaurant at a certain time to take your children to the club once they have finished eating.

Kids can join in the final celebration and march around the restaurant conga line-style as they wave flags and sing along to "Love is an Open Door" with the dining room service team. Our Disney cruise food guide has all you need to know about dining options across the cruise line's fleet, including where to find them and whether they cost extra or are included in your fare. We also answer some of the most popular questions about dining and food on Disney Cruise Line. Each dining venue on the ship features diverse menu options, many of which are suitable for vegetarians, vegans, and those with food allergies or intolerances. Guests with special dietary needs can expect to find a variety of tasty dishes, from fresh salads and grilled vegetables to unique plant-based entrees.

Quick-service dining on Disney Cruise Line offers guests the convenience of fast, delicious meals and snacks throughout the day. With a variety of locations serving everything from burgers and pizza to sandwiches and salads, there is something for everyone. Palo is an adults-only restaurant with a semi-formal dress code. The restaurants are elegant and the overall quality of the food is top-notch.

The specialty dining venues on Disney cruises offer a peaceful, adult-only escape amidst the bustling cruise activities. Exceptional service, thoughtful theming, and gourmet cuisine set these dining experiences apart on any Disney cruise. Speaking from personal experience, my wife and I believe these extraordinary moments justify the additional expense and the need to dress up just a bit.

disney cruise line food

It shares many dishes with the Royal Court and Royal Palace on the Dream and Fantasy. When the Disney Wish launches in 2022 there will be a Frozen-themed restaurant. One of my very favorite Disney movies is Tangled so this has to be one of my favorite restaurants. This restaurant is all about getting the diners involved in the immersive experience. If you are sailing on the Disney Fantasy or the Disney Dream take some time to walk around the restaurant and look at the numerous shelves of animation memorabilia. Animator’s Palate is the only restaurant that is on all four of the ships.

Whether it’s the sparkle in a child’s eyes when they see their favorite princess or the excitement of a Frozen-themed feast, these experiences are thrilling for kids and adults alike. There are two specialty restaurants on board the Disney ships, which serve dinner and brunch. Palo is located on all four ships, while Remy is only available on the Dream and Fantasy. Both Palo and Remy are adult-exclusive, and offer an exceptional dining experience at an additional fee. The restaurant is divided into two dining rooms named after Walt and his brother Roy, though both serve the same menu, which celebrates California cuisine.

The flavors do change daily, so check out what's mixing in the machines each day. Near Disney Wish's main pool is Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods. This outdoor open-air concept is made up of five smaller quick-service windows dishing out barbecue, pizza, burgers, tacos and ice cream. My favorite is Donald's Cantina, which is a make-your-own Tex-Mex spot with plenty of base, protein and topping options, along with a nearby salsa and hot sauce bar.

The farther in advance you can book your Alaskan cruise, the more options you will have for cruise dates, itineraries, and cabin amenities. July and August are considered peak seasons to cruise to Alaska for good reason. These are the months when all good things combine to create the optimal Alaskan experience. June is a smart choice for cruisers who don’t want to travel during peak season but want more opportunities. If you cruise to Alaska in June, you can expect warmer and drier temperatures, fewer children onboard, increased wildlife sightings, and more cruise offerings. You’ve got about a 50/50 chance of getting rained or snowed on during excursions.

Best time to cruise New England and Canada to avoid crowds

best month to go on a cruise

While seasoned boarders prefer the challenging surf of the winter months, cruisers who want to learn to surf will want to sail between May and September when seas are calm. The good news is that no time of year is bad to take a Hawaiian cruise. Nevertheless, there are differences in weather, cruise availability, price and other factors from season to season. Here's what you need to know about which months are best to cruise Hawaii. For these reasons, September is the worst month of the year to take a cruise. April and May are excellent times to go because they are outside of the hurricane season, although some Caribbean destinations see more rainfall than normal in May.

You'll want to book well in advance for an Alaska cruise between June and August, as itineraries tend to sell out quickly. The best time to cruise Australia is from late November to March, when late spring crests into Australia's summer months. Major ports of call like Sydney, Adelaide and Perth will be quite warm and sunny, while Cairns in the northeast -- the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef -- will be steamy and hot. In this post, I share a month-by-month guide about the best time of year for an Alaskan cruise.

HAWAII

New Zealand's beaches are also a top attraction in the summer, along with outdoor activities and water sports. A seven-night sailing from Boston to Montreal in May 2024 with Holland America starts at $779 per person. A similar seven-night itinerary from Boston to Quebec City in late September starts at $1,279 per person. The summer months are also the best time to see several species of whales off the coast of Newfoundland, including humpback whales. The cruise season in Canada and New England begins in May and ends in October, with a few ships even making the voyage in April. You'll find more ships in this region between August and October as it gets closer to peak leaf-peeping season.

What to Do in Alaska: Top Things to Do in October

To get the best price for a Canada/New England cruise in May or October. There are rarely sailings beyond these timeframes due to cold weather and the chance of snow or rain. For the best deals, cruise during the fall - September and October - along with May and June. This can also be the optimal time for whale watching, which is a popular activity. Hurricane season can have some impacts on the region, although not as common as in the Caribbean.

Caribbean Cruise in July or August: Chances of Rain and Lots of Families

To help you find the best time to cruise to Alaska, Cruise Critic is breaking down the Alaska cruise season month by month to help you plan your bucket-list trip. Read on for average Alaska cruise prices, things to do in Alaska and everything else you'll need to decide which is the best month to cruise Alaska for you. The Alaska cruise season is a little over six months long, but choosing the best time to cruise Alaska is surprisingly not that simple. By late spring, summer and fall, there are more festivals, sporting events and golf tournaments that bring visitors to the islands. In the summertime, you'll have family vacations and people with vacation homes in Bermuda returning for the season and warmer weather.

Taking a Cruise in April

With kids back in school, there is less demand for cruising during these periods. A 5-night cruise onboard Carnival Sunshine, for instance, starts at $364 per person in May 2024. The price for the same cruise increases to $599 per person in July 2024. Bahamas weather in April starts to warm up and is still part of the high season.

How Much Cruise Lines Spend on Food (Less Than You Think?)

We've compiled the best times to cruise to the most popular cruise destinations based on the weather, lowest prices and fewer crowds. July and August can be the most expensive months to cruise the Caribbean, but there are plenty of exceptions. Because more and more ships sail the region every year, prices can be competitive for families, couples and friends planning their summer getaway. The cheapest time for Caribbean cruises runs from late summer into fall, when hurricane season is at its peak. If this is the only chance you have to cruise, keep in mind that itineraries can change or be canceled depending on the weather.

The cruise season in the Mediterranean usually begins in April and ends in November, with peak season falling between June and September. Unlike cruising to the Caribbean, winter is the rainier season, and summer sees the least amount of rain. Despite this, winter is peak time for cruises to Hawaii, along with many land based vacationers. This is also an ideal time for nature lovers as thousands of humpback whales visit the waters around the islands as part of annual migration patterns. It is also a great time to explore the lush terrain of Hawaii, including its legendary waterfalls, beaches and epic surfing waves. Tourists flock to Europe in the summer, but the best time for a European cruise is in the late spring and early fall.

One 2016 study by CruiseWatch.com found that, on average, cruise fares dropped the most on Thursdays. These data points are constantly fluctuating so your best bet is to track fares throughout the week. If you have your sights set on a high-demand sailing — on a new ship or during school holiday dates — the best time to book a cruise will be as soon as fares are released. This is the only way to guarantee a spot (and secure a particular cabin location).

If that sounds like too much math homework, I recommend that you call a travel agent. A cruise-knowledgeable travel adviser can help you plan your trip and determine if the current pricing is good or if you should hold out for a deal. Within a given cruise sale's promotional period, I've seen cabin prices fluctuate daily and I've seen them stay the same for a week. It all depends on how many cabins a cruise line has allocated for a specific fare class and whether those rooms happen to sell out or not. While holding off may result in a once-in-a-lifetime deal, keep in mind that your cabin and category choices may be minimal and there's no guarantee you'll be able to book at all.

If I were to narrow it down even further, I'd say the best time to cruise to the Caribbean is early December. It's a fun way to create a break between Thanksgiving and the December holidays. Australia Day celebrations can also draw crowds, so be aware if your itinerary includes that January holiday.

As you’ll see below, there are trade-offs with each time of year to sail. However, many of the potential downsides are manageable in our opinion — and shouldn’t deter you from taking a cruise when it fits your schedule and budget. If you're seeking a slightly cheaper river cruise in Europe, spring can mean flowers in glorious bloom and milder temperatures. Tulip-viewing itineraries in the Netherlands and Belgium are especially popular.

You'll now find these zones on Caribbean-focused vessels like Norwegian Encore, Norwegian Breakaway, Norwegian Getaway, Norwegian Epic and Norwegian Prima. Each of these solo cruiser zones, which are unrepeated in the industry for now, includes dozens of cabins for solo travelers, all clustered around each other. There is also a private lounge with a bar and television where solos can mingle at daily hosted happy hour gatherings.

Except for the weeks that include holidays, ships aren't likely to be at capacity or filled with screaming children. Fares in winter are a bit below the yearly average (excluding the holiday weeks, which are often the highest of the year). Look particularly at last-minute options and those first two weeks in December.

Pack a sun hat, sunglasses, statement jewelry, a tote bag, and a cute clutch to complete your cruise wardrobe. I am literally counting down the days until my cruise, and I hope you feel the same kind of excitement. I really think you are going to kill the game if you use these outfits as inspiration. At the end of the day, though, I want you to make sure that you are wearing things that make you feel your absolute most confident.

Black Jumpsuit for Formal Dining

Most cruises these days are very relaxed, so you need to look casually brilliant. These days, there’s no need to bring formalwear on most cruises, unless you want to. Cruising is unique because you may find yourself in a variety of situations and climates all in one vacation. Although you don’t see it in the photos, I did bring a light sweater with me as well as a shawl. I like wearing sleeveless dresses, however the air conditioning in the dining room can be cool, so having a light sweater is a must.

Green Long Sleeve Wrap Dress

Women can wear a cocktail dress, smart trousers, or an evening ball gown. And they recommend men to wear a sports jacket, dark suit or a tuxedo with appropriate tie or tux. Even they can wear a military uniform or any formal national dress. Playing dress-up starts at a very early age, but dressing for a cruise vacation is the most exciting task.

Many women also prefer carrying handbags on cruises to store items they might need like makeup, sunscreen, perfumes, etc. New year’s eve is one of the most special nights of the year and if you’re lucky enough to be cruising on this day, you need to go all out. Once again, we’re taking inspiration from the cruising queen, Graziana as we crush over this gold sequin dress of hers.

Now there are a few things not to wear on a cruise that pertain mostly to the evening. Flip flops, swimsuits tank tops, and shorts are generally not allowed inside restaurants during dinner. Now unfortunately for the men, the evening cruise line dress code applies mostly to men. Double-check which cruise line you are cruising with to see the exact evening dress code. For example, if you stop in Naples Itay, you could explore the Amalfi Coast, Capri, Naples, and even Pompei which all involve different kinds of daytime outfits.

Formal dress codes for ladies include cocktail dresses, elegant skirts, and evening-wear blouses. Keep in mind that I like to dress up no matter what the dress code is. Having trouble figuring out what exactly to wear on a cruise?

Most cruises don’t allow jeans on the formal dinners, so it is important to check this with your cruise management before you leave. For longer cruise trips, jeans and shorts are acceptable for daywear and informal gatherings. If you’re going on just a one-day dinner cruise for a few hours, you would want to go fancy and wear a dress, especially if you’re going with someone special.

This loose blouse is available in different colors and patterns as well. Use Pinterest to keep track of all your travel and fashion ideas. You can follow my cruising board here and my packing tips board here.

Smart Casual Dinner Dress

A slim fit dress shirt always completes a formal outfit perfectly. It shapes the body to perfection and is sophisticated and elegant on a night out. They are casual and comfortable, and come in many different colors. Having a few of these on vacation with you will give you many different outfit options to choose from each day. Sometimes you just have to get in that vacation spirit buy having matching outfits for the entire family. This set is very vibrant and can be worn not just around the cruise ship but in port too.

This shirt is such a fun way to show you’re excited to be on the cruise and looking to enjoy your vacation. If you’re commited to getting the drink package on a cruise you are probably down for a good time. They’re such a fun addition to a vacation and a great way to be able to find your group easier on a cruise ship. You will see all different types of groups on your sailing with themed cruise shirts. As far as travel essentials, packing cubes are great for keeping your belongings organized, especially since there is not a lot of drawer space on cruises. I also recommend bringing a hanging toiletry bag if you can, as there is typically limited bathroom counter and storage space.

Opting for a flowy material accents the ocean breeze, while a fitted design emphasizes a woman’s shape, enhancing her evening ensemble. When attending a formal event on a cruise like a gala, a formal dress is the quintessential choice for women aiming for timeless elegance. A dressy jumpsuit serves as a trendy alternative to dresses for evening events. Its one-piece composition offers a seamless and sophisticated look, while providing ease of movement throughout the night. This attire allows for comfort as it flows freely, making it perfect for a dinner under the stars or a shipboard show. Women appreciate the versatility of caftan dresses as they can be accessorized for an elevated look.

Selecting the right outfits for various cruise excursions is essential for both comfort and style. They ensure participants can fully enjoy their activities while blending practicality with the appropriate dress code for the setting they’ll be exploring. Another dressy casual look is to wear a one side off the shoulder top and a midi skirt. This outfit definitely looks like a beach outfit but it’s also very fitting to wear on the cruise boat as well.

Generally, they prefer that their guest comes in full pants and collared shirts for men and women should be in sweaters or blouses during evening time. Moreover, they ask to avoid shorts or t-shirt because their dining room is fully air-conditioned. Paul Gauguin cruises encourage the country club casual or elegant resort wear. They allow you to avoid ties and opt for jackets with collared shirts and pants for gentlemen, and for women blouses with pants or skirts or else dresses. It allows you to wear casual all the time, even in the elegant evenings. They also accept swimwear at the buffet, but they need to wear a cover-up shirt and footwear.

Teamed with a blouse, this outfit offers a sporty yet cute aesthetic perfect for an active day on a cruise. A simple pair of shorts paired with a top is an easy go-to outfit for daytime. It’s practical for exploring or engaging in on-ship activities like deck games. Denim shorts offer durability, while chino shorts can elevate the look slightly. For a more mature cruise outfit, you can wear a long sleeve maxi dress. What makes this outfit look mature is definitely the material of the dress and how the outfit is accessorized with big earrings.

These questions will help you in packing your attire for a short or long cruise with any destination. So, grab your expresso, pen, and paper and write down these points. With the following questions, you will hardly go wrong with packing for a cruise vacation. This floral top is is gorgeous paired with shorts or white pants.

So, for my Princess cruise, I packed 2 fancier dresses and my husband and son each packed one suit, with 2 different dress shirts. Don’t forget to pack dress shoes and any accessories you may need like an evening bag, clutch or jewelry. On embarkation day I wore a navy blue and white stripe casual dress. It was super comfortable, and I figured I could wear it both during the day on our cruise as well as in the evening on a smart casual night.

Call us supernatural, but we’re sensing vacation fun in your future. You know we definitely see our share of coastal areas, so it’s easy to imagine how special a place it is to us. That’s why paying tribute to the magical spot where the water meets the land just feels so natural. That’s what’s going on at The Shores™, a new zone aboard Carnival Jubilee! Beaches, boardwalks and piers were just a little of what inspired us to create this zone that serves up just the right flavors and feels.

Marina Bar

Carnival Celebration has gone from the drawing board to the seas! Explore this a map of the ship, and start fueling your vacation dreams. They scrapped many of their older ships in order to save money and focus on newer and more profitable ships after the Covid-19 pandemic shutdown.

We really enjoyed the sizeable adults-only Serenity deck that now has its own pool. If you want a more exclusive experience, you can get a pass to the LOFT 19 area that includes padded loungers and access to the infinity whirlpool and attentive servers. If you plan to take a Carnival cruise, download the Carnival HUB App before boarding your ship. It is loaded with features that will make your cruise more enjoyable.

The Lido

Simply walk up to order at the counter, have a seat and a waiter will take over from there. Family Harbor staterooms, with their unique nautical décor, can be found near Mardi Gras’ own Family Harbor Lounge — an exclusive spot with breakfast, snacks during the day, plus board games, family movies, video games and more. The benefits don’t end there — your little girls and boys eat free in most onboard specialty restaurants and get a free evening of Night Owls babysitting service, so you can enjoy a little alone time.

It came alongside several sauces and sides of broccoli and crinkle-cut fries for $49 ($15 for kids). Another excellent dinner during my voyage occurred at Rudi's Seagrill (Deck 8), an upscale seafood restaurant named for chef and pop artist Rudi Sodamin. The lobster macaroni and cheese was the perfect indulgence to start my meal, and I followed it up with a delicious crab cake. Both serve the same menu for dinner, but only the larger Pacific Restaurant is open for Sea Day Brunch on sea days and breakfast (but not lunch) on port days. Fully accessible rooms are stair-free, flat-threshold cabins, which offer wider (32-inch) doorways, turning space and bathrooms equipped with grab bars and shower seats. One example is the Dr. Seuss-themed Seuss-a-palooza Parade that makes its way through the Currents zone once per sailing.

This item and many others on display were carefully salvaged by fellow journalist and ship historian Peter Knego before these ships were destroyed entirely. I had the chance to sit down and talk to Peter about his work and many of these fascinating and historic items onboard the Carnival Celebration. Be sure to watch our interview with Peter Knego about the Golden Jubilee. On Deck 6, the Golden Jubilee features artwork, memorabilia, and original pieces from Carnival’s earlier vessels perfectly incorporated throughout the space, bringing Carnival’s 50 years of fun full circle. We loved the reproduction of blueprints depicting the evolution of Carnival’s Fun Ships, including some hand-drawn designs by world-renowned architect Joe Farcus in the ceiling.

Passengers have to make their way to the lounge, which isn't next to the theater. Each weeklong cruise will schedule two formal nights — known as "elegant nights." If you're bound for the dining rooms, men are expected to turn up in dress slacks and a dress shirt, preferably with a sports coat or even a suit. The suggested attire for women on such nights is cocktail dresses, pantsuits, elegant skirts and blouses.

This vessel was first put into service in 1996 under the name Carnival Destiny, and was the inaugural ship of the Destiny Class. In 2013, the Carnival Destiny underwent a remarkable 49-day, $155-million dollar refurbishment and was renamed and reclassified as the first Sunshine Class ship. Carnival Sunshine is the first ship in the Sunshine Class and is a sister ship to Carnival Sunrise and Carnival Radiance.

Guests enter through the atrium in Celebration Central, with a ceiling designed to mimic a confetti cannon, courtesy of roughly 1,400 colorful light fixtures. Carnival Panorama features a Sky Zone trampoline park, the ShyRide aerial bike course and a Waterworks water park that was inspired by Shaquille O’Neal. The ship sails from Long Beach, California visiting ports of call along the Pacific Coast en route to Mexico. The latest ship to join the Carnival fleet was Carnival Celebration. A sister ship to the popular Mardi Gras, Carnival Celebration made her debut on 6th November 2022. Costa Venezia is a modified Vista-class ship, so she will be most similar to Carnival Vista, Carnival Horizon and Carnival Panorama.

If you don't make one, you might find yourself waiting 20 minutes or more for a table at peak times. If you make a reservation through the app, you'll receive a notification to report to the host stand when your table is ready. Speaking of the bed, it was exceptionally comfortable, and I was excited to find that the TV across from it had a sizable selection of free movies (as well as newer releases for a fee).

The last of Carnival’s Conquest-class ships, she can accommodate 2,980 guests at double occupancy. Many people believe that the newest Carnival cruise ships are the best. And if you want to ride a sky bike or rollercoaster high above the top deck, then they might well be. However, even the oldest Carnival cruise ships have water slides, splash parks, mini golf, kids’ clubs, casinos, and nightclubs, so you’ll never be short of something to do. Carnival Jubilee, the third of the line’s Excel-class ships after Mardi Gras and Carnival Celebration, brings two new spaces to the fleet — Currents and Shores, both neighborhoods with ocean themes. The Carnival Celebration is a beautiful ship that offers an incredible big ship experience for both families and couples at a great price.
